So, this happened today.
My dream of getting my hands on Tandem’s beautiful touch screen tslim X2 insulin pump finally came true.
Massive thanks to the team at AMSL Diabetes for bumping me up to a priority upgrade (the upgrade was covered under my existing Animas Vibe warranty) and for the outstanding customer service during the transition.
In other news, AMSL Diabetes have also confirmed that all future software updates to the tslim X2, including Basal IQ and Control IQ, will be free of charge to Aussie customers.
Amazing what a little hashtag can do!

I received my new T-slm on 2nd October and handed back the Animas Vibe to its maker. So far I really like the T-slim. No unexpected alarms/reminders going off, Plenty of cartridge room for me (max. 300 units). Impressed that it has alerts for insulin temperature and machine temperature, 2 things of help during hot Adelaide summers. And for power packs, plenty to choose from to cover emergencies e.g. Swiss card (300mAh) (microUSBtype) from Amazon, Jackery (600mAh) Amazon or JB hifi.

I really like the idea of downloadable software updates.
