  1. Good for you for saying what you prefer. I as a clinician use person first terminology “with diabetes” because I think it is the best place to start. But for myself I personally don’t mind diabetic and use it on myself a lot. I think both views are valid and individuals should be supported in whichever they choose 🙂

  2. I have to admit I do not mind being a diabetic. I have always referred to my self that way. however, I do a better job when talking to others. I understand we are more than our disease and I understand the new term. Unfortunately, it is generational I fear.
